With the SE model's dual-exhaust system, engine output increases to 192 horses and 181 pound-feet of torque. The available 2.0-liter turbocharged engine boosts output to 274 horses and 269 pound-feet of torque. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for a smooth, comfortable ride.
The modern Sonata impresses with its spacious interior and quiet highway ride. On the road, used Hyundai Sonata drivers can expect responsive steering and efficient fuel economy. In 2012, the Sonata introduced the Blue Link telematics service and a navigation system with increased resolution. In 2014, the Sonata was restyled to offer a more modern feel.

In 2008, the four-cylinder engine became standard for the entire lineup, with the V6 remaining an option.
In 2009, the inline-4 engine was retooled to boost output to 175 horses. The V6 generated 249 horses. This year also saw interior improvements, with a new dashboard and enhanced cabin materials. All fourth-generation models delivered plenty of passenger space.
