2019 Ford Transit Van
The 2019 Ford Transit is ready for action, with world-class powertrains, excellent interior space, and greater workday convenience than ever before.
What's new for the 2019 Ford Transit?
A lot! Both the 2019 Transit Cargo and Passenger Vans introduce new conveniences to help you breeze through a workday. On the 148-inch-wheelbase Transit, the rear doors open wider. The doors now open 253 degrees, making it easy to load and unload deliveries. Ford's new Rear Seat Delete option lets you tailor the passenger van for five-, 10-, 11-, and 14-passengers, giving you greater versatility as you transport clients and their belongings. For company fleets, the dual-rear-wheel Transit is available with white steel wheels with exposed lug nuts, giving you easy access should you need to change a tire.
What are the 2019 Ford Transit configurations?
Cargo or Passenger Van
The 2019 Transit is available as either a Cargo or Passenger Van. Both full-size vans are ideal for commercial purposes, giving you the space you need to lug heavy cargo or a cabin full of clients.
Two Wheelbases
This full-size van is available with either a standard or long wheelbase, the latter of which increases interior space, whether you need it to deliver extra cargo or transport extra passengers.
Three Engines
Both the 2019 Ford Transit Passenger and Cargo vans feature a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine for an easygoing performance, whether around town or on the highway. If your company hauls more heavy loads than not, you'll be pleased to note that a turbocharged 3.2-liter diesel inline-five engine is optional for either model. It increases hauling capabilities with 185 horses and 350 pound-feet of torque. The top-of-the-line turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 is the best option for companies who want to maximize hauling power and on-road performance. This engine delivers 310 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque for the Transit's most capable performance.
Single Trim
Both the Passenger and Cargo Vans offer a single, nicely stocked trim model. Standard features, like the sliding passenger-side door and full power accessories, provide modern convenience. Keyless entry also comes in handy, saving time in the parking lot. The front air-conditioning system cools drivers down, providing hours of on-road comfort.
Lots of Options
The Transit options list is a long one. You can tailor your fleet to suit your company's unique brand with features like leather upholstery and remote engine start. The Ford Telematics system helps you keep track of vehicle needs, including regular maintenance, so you can keep your Ford Transits in tip-top shape.
How much space is inside the 2019 Transit Cargo Van?
In its most spacious configuration, the long-wheelbase, extended-length van, the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo Van offers 487.3 cubic feet of cargo space for your business needs. If you don't need that much space, you'll still find a roomy 246.7 cubes of cargo space in the low-roof, standard-wheelbase rendition.
What's the 2019 Ford Transit towing capacity?
Depending on powertrain and body style, the Transit can tow max loads ranging from 2,900 and 7,500 pounds. If you need your commercial van to tow heavy equipment or extra supplies, Ford's full-size van is ready for action.
