November 1-15, 2020 – Noonday Kitchen Miles 4 Meals & Fall Festival
LaFayette Ford is excited to have sponsored local non-profit, Noonday Kitchen’s, Miles 4 Meals fundraiser and Fall Festival!
The Miles 4 Meals Virtual Pledge Run/Walk/Cycle/Ride Challenge give participants 15 days to complete 30 miles. Proceeds went towards the organization’s programs that provide fresh, nutritious meals and groceries to individuals facing food insecurity in our local communities. It’s not enough to just feed people, but what you feed them matters most.
The Noonday Kitchen Fall Festival was held at the Rick Herrema Foundation (Rick’s Place) on November 6th and was fun for the whole family! There was food, music, and even a magic show!
“Noonday Kitchen is committed to doing more than filling the gap food insecurity creates, but to be a light in the world’s darkest moments by serving chef-prepared meals and nutritious groceries to those who aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from. There were 64,860 people living with food insecurity last year in Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett, & Lee counties, which is why our goal is to raise $64,860! A healthy plate of food, thoughtfully made, can help someone feel seen.”
