Luxury Cruising: It’s a Tie!
These full-size luxury SUVs really underscore your comfort, with standard features that include trip-zone automatic climate control and heated-and-ventilated front seats. And both the 2020 Lincoln Navigator and INFINITI QX80, being big SUVs, deliver the kind of passenger space that big families can really appreciate. They’re also big on style, with modern design and high-end materials that really appeal to your senses.
More Technology: 2020 Lincoln Navigator
Both the 2020 Navigator and QX80 make a point of including all the latest infotainment gadgets. That means you get fundamentals like a touch-screen interface and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
However, it’s the Navigator that gives you more in standard safety aids. All three trim models come standard with smart safety features, like lane-keeping assist, blind-spot detection, and automatic emergency braking. And that means much more peace of mind for you!
To add a similar safety lineup to the QX80, you must pay extra. Add the ProAssist package to the base Luxe model or upgrade to the pricier, but fully loaded Limited trim.
Tow-Friendly Performance: 2020 Lincoln Navigator
With its 450-horsepower turbo V6 engine, it’s the Navigator that tows the biggest toys. Properly equipped, Lincoln’s luxury SUV can tow a whopping 8,600 pounds. This upscale cruiser will also impress you with its quick, responsive drive.
Although the QX80’s V8 engine is much bigger, it can’t produce as much horsepower, supplying only 400 horses to get you going. However, this INFINITI SUV can tow almost as much as the Navigator, maxing out at 8,500 pounds.
Max Fuel Economy: 2020 Lincoln Navigator
Not only does the Navigator pack a more powerful punch, but it also gives you a little extra mileage. Rear-wheel-drive versions of this luxury SUV earn up to 19 mpg combined (16 city/22 highway mpg). The INFINITI QX80 is a little less thrifty, with EPA ratings that max out at 16 mpg combined (14/20 mpg).
The 2020 INFINITI QX80 is certainly luxurious, but it’s the Lincoln Navigator that really treats you to all of the finer things.
