Currently the only trims available for the Hummer EV start just north of six figures. The First trim offered was the Edition 1, top tier trim and started at about $110,000. This trim rapidly sold out and is no longer available, the next trim to be produced and available for order is the EV3x, starting at about $106,000. The Hummer does offer a lot of luxury interior styling and features which makes this $100,000 price tag seem a little bit more reasonable. The Hummer comes with a range of 329 miles standard, and 7,500 pounds of towing capacity.
On the other hand, the Ford F-150 Lightning starts at the very attractive price of about $42,000, unfortunately this model only comes with 230 miles of range. Which is why most of us would need to spring for the extended battery range of 320 miles, starting at around $75,000, more than $25,000 cheaper than the Hummer EV. The extended range battery also gets you 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, arguably the most important feature on a pickup truck. While the top tier trim on the F-150 does come in at around $92,000, we feel that the F-150 gets you significantly more bang for your buck. With all the fun features that an electric truck has such as a front trunk and quick acceleration time, it also has a longer truck bed, a battery that functions as a generator for your home and more towing capacity.
We would say that the Hummer has a higher end interior with more stylistic designs and upscale feel. Despite this, the F-150 still has a comfy interior, with a large infotainment screen and a classy look. With a lower price that still gets you a classy interior, more towing power, a bigger bed, and a home generator, the F-150 Lightning is worth more at a better price.
