2022 Ford Escape vs Nissan Rogue

The Nissan Rogue only offers one engine, a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine (201 hp, 225 lb-ft). Like the Escape, the Rogue comes standard with front-wheel drive. However, if you want to boost traction on the trail, all-wheel drive is available.

With its available hybrid powertrain, the Escape supplies up to 41 mpg combined (44 city/37 highway). The base engine is also pretty thrifty, giving you up to 30 mpg combined (28/34 mpg).

The Rogue doesn’t offer a hybrid option, but its one powertrain does provide a decent balance of power and fuel economy. With front-wheel drive, this Nissan crossover earns up to 33 mpg combined (30/37 mpg).
