The second generation Ford Edge models are available as four trims: the base SE, midrange SEL, upscale Limited, and punchy Sport. All models are equipped with enough standard features to create a comfortable, convenient ride.
The SEL and Limited introduce a wide range of modern luxuries. Heated front seats keep driver and passenger cozy during winter months. Users can interact with helpful infotainment features via the MyFord Touch interface. This infotainment system comes with three display screens, and its audio, phone, and navigation functions are accessible by voice or touch control. A rearview camera lets drivers reverse as safely as possible.
The Sport comes with many of the Limited's upscale features, but adds performance-enhancing hardware. A sport-tuned suspension creates a more athletic performance. Its unique exterior styling sets it apart from the other Edge models.
Under the hood, the Ford Edge is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 285 horsepower. The Sport comes with a more powerful engine, a 3.7-liter V6 that generates up to 305 horses. Both engines are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission for a smooth, comfortable ride.
An optional engine is available for all Ford Edge models but the Sport. This 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 240 horses. It's also paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It lives up to its name - the EcoBoost - by achieving an impressive 24 mpg combined.
